Alter your perspective, and fear can be transformed into something else. That’s exactly what Papa Roach did on album number eight, flipping fear on its head to create the inspiring acronym that gave the record its title – face everything and rise. 

Produced by Kane Churko [Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment], F.E.A.R. was also notable for featuring two significant – and very different – collaborations. While historically, Papa Roach hadn’t been ones for guest features, they flipped the script by bringing on board In This Moment frontwoman Maria Brink for the searing, confessional “Gravity” and rapper Royce Da 5’9 for fizzing electro-rock closer “Warriors”. 

Upon release, F.E.A.R. ushered in another surge in success for Papa Roach. Outselling their two previous albums, it landed at #15 on the Billboard 200 chart and #13 in the UK, marking their return to the latter territory’s Top 15 for the first time since 2002’s Lovehatetragedy.
