Join us for a journey around Britain uncovering hidden gems and jumping aboard famous steam engines. We begin at Rothley Station and a close encounter of the steamy kind with 60163 – Tornado. The most modern locomotive built in Britain, Tornado is a most impressive machine as we travel along the Great Central Railway enjoying the sights and sounds. Next stop – Porthmadog on the Ffestiniog Railway for a brief history lesson and stunning views of Double Fairlie Merddin Emrys as she receives some loving attention. Then it’s back to the Great Central Railway and the Santa Special sitting patiently at Ruddington Fields is none other than 3440 – City Of Truro (renumbered in 1912 to 3717). We round our programme off with visits to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Keighley And Worth Valley Railway and the Bluebell Railway catching 60007 Nigel Gresley, 41241 and 672 Fenchurch along the way.
