BAND OF JOY Band Of Joy (1978 UK 9-track vinyl LP – Theband were formed in the 1960s with the original line-upfeaturing Robert Plant and John Bonham, yet while thatline-up relied on its live reputation to become a legend, arevised Band OfJoy finally made it to the studio in the late1970s, having re-grouped to play benefit gigs with their oldsinger for the families of a local band involved in a fatalmotorway crash. The gigs didn’t happen as planned, but thisalbum on Polydorwas followed by a barely-released second,both of which stand as undiscovered gems. The picture sleeveshows some light edge scuffing and spine wear, but alsocomes complete with its lyric insert and the vinyl looks barelyplayed)
